What a week!

Last Friday was so much fun as we went to Rolling Hills Zoo. It was crazy getting 100 kids there and back, but we had a wonderful time touring the museum and zoo. The weather was perfect, and we all had such a great time exploring the zoo.

This week, my OSCAR class has earned a ice cream party on Wednesday, and also a good number of students earned a pizza party by reading their 7 books for the KU Reading program. WAY TO GO STUDENT READERS!!!

Next week Halloween is here on Wednesday. Remember to wear your costumes, but make sure they are school approperate. NO BLOOD, NO KNIVES OR WEAPONS, NO MURDER CHARACTERS (JASON, FREDDIE, MICHAEL, ECT). We are also going to have a fun party during math that day, so beware of fun and fright.

Bully Prevention and Rolling Hills

This week marks an exciting week for us. On Monday we will be having a Bully Prevention Presentation that will show students what bullying is, and how to deal with it if they are being bullied. I am sure we will learn a great deal from the presentation.

On Friday we will be heading out to Rolling Hills Zoo. We will be leaving a bit before 9, and will arrive back just before specials start. We are so lucky to be touring not only the zoo, but also the museum as well. I can't wait to go...can you????

School Photo

Today, Monday 10/08/2007 we will be taking a whole school photo out in the front part of the school. Students are asked to wear black, and staff will be wearing red to form an outline. I have been told that this year we will be forming a bear paw.

Welcome to Mr. Michel's Class

It's hard to believe, but it's already October. So far, this year has been amazing, and there are even more amazing things that will be happening soon. On October 19th we will be making our way to Rolling Hills Zoo, for a tour of the museum and the zoo. We are so very excited to be linking what we've learned in science to our zoo tour. We are going to have a blast!
